This additional weekly session is designed for dedicated students of all ages—Yellow Belt and up—who want to actively develop their techniques, sharpen their reflexes, and elevate their overall martial arts skills. Moving at a faster pace, the Combat Lab provides the perfect environment to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and practical, fluid application.
The goal of the Combat Lab is development and refinement. It is not a traditional instructional class where new syllabus movements are introduced from scratch; rather, it is a dynamic workshop where you take the tools you already have and forge them into effective muscle memory through consistent, practical application.
While the session kicks off with a higher-intensity warm-up and deep stretching to prime the body, the atmosphere remains highly supportive, fun, and family-friendly. We train hard to build resilience and test our spirit, but our priority is always a safe, controlled environment where every member of our Taekwon-Do Family can thrive.
While our curriculum remains adaptable to include patterns, theory, and advanced technique building, most sessions will follow a structured, high-energy format:
High-Intensity Warm-Up & Mobility: A faster-paced conditioning period followed by an extended stretching routine to maximize kicking reach and prevent injury.
Kicking & Pad Drills: Heavy focus on dynamic pad work, combination training, and developing explosive power and speed.
Sparring Drills & Strategy: Conceptual partner drills designed to improve situational awareness, timing, distance management, and ring strategy.
Free Sparring Session: An extended, controlled sparring block to safely test your skills against different targets and styles.
Rank: Open to all ages, Yellow Belt (8th Gup) or higher.
Equipment: Full mandatory sparring gear is required (Headgear, hand and foot pads, mouthguard, and groin cup).
Mindset: A willingness to engage in controlled-contact sparring and a desire to push your personal boundaries alongside your team.
